Dyfi Architecture oversaw the complete restoration of a Grade II* Jacobean hunting lodge and gatehouse. The buildings were in an extremely deleterious state of repair which required a careful and considered approach to restore them back to a fully habitable state. It was a hugely complex project incorporating listed building consents, planning, ecological and archaeological surveys and applications - all of which Dyfi Architecture handled highly professionally. They were there to provide advice, guidance and reassurance whenever we needed them. The project incorporated traditional building methods, such as lime plaster, and modern technology in the form of a water source heat pump. We are delighted with the project's outcome and grateful to Dyfi Architecture for the services they provided throughout.

The Glyn Estate - North Wales

We initially asked Dyfi Architecture to conduct a survey on our large Listed Manor House because we had doubts over the original standard surveyor’s report. This proved to be an invaluable investment that has enabled us to have every confidence in our work program going forwards. We engaged Dyfi Architecture for full architectural services thereafter. The enthusiasm and knowledge of the Team are outstanding and we have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone with a Listed Building project.

David and Wendy Baxter-Roberts

Dyfi Architecture helped to crystallise our vague ideas for a large contemporary extension to replace a defective structure in a traditional setting, into a workable design acceptable to the strict Planning Authority in the Snowdonia National Park . They worked closely with the building contractor and liaised with the Authorities to see the project through to completion. The superb result is far better than we could have hoped for and allows us to make the most of the views and daylight!

Rob and Jane - Cheltenham and Harlech

Dyfi Architecture carried out a survey to assist us with the purchase of our Grade 2 Listed Farm Estate. The report was extremely well detailed and enabled us to learn a great deal about the buildings and certainly helped with the negotiations and future plan ideas. They responded very quickly and professionally throughout.

Dyfi Architecture tailored the contemporary solutions to each area of our large Victorian Terrace but kept a close eye on the function and traditional form of the whole house. The result is far more than we considered possible from the outset and added considerable value to the project aims .

Simon Roberts - Putney, London

We needed a report at short notice to help with buying our Grade 2 Listed Thatched Cottage as the Estate Agent’s surveyor didn’t have historical building knowledge. The DA Team were quick and professional and gave us the information to put in a fair and successful offer.

David Griffiths - Herefordshire

Steve and Team from Dyfi Architecture have been great to work with and help meet our quite complex brief in creative, flexible, supportive and professional ways with a nice personal touch, design style, and eye for detail. They made our project work from producing fully detailed drawings through to on the ground practicalities of building even though we are quite a way from Dyfi Architecture’s offices.

Karen Palmer - Gwynedd

We used Dyfi Architecture for our conversion project because although our house is not Listed it was really useful to engage a Company with that level of experience. They completely understood the process of combining contemporary styling with traditional form and produced a solution that added significant value to the project.

Mark Roberts - Brecon

Our Grade 2 Listed Farmhouse has been completely renovated with Dyfi Architecture providing creative, workable solutions that are sympathetic to the historical context and yet able to provide a truly comfortable and sustainable home. This ensured that our old building is saved for future generations whilst also optimising energy efficiency within the constraints of a listed building.
